Ülle Lichtfeldt is a well-known actress, who is on a stage or in front of television cameras nearly every day, and she is loved by viewers and public of all ages. Since performances on stage and shooting television shows is the actress’ everyday work, it means getting makeup done daily. Since heavy makeup can test the skin, correct skin care is very important. The beautiful actress went through hyaluronic acid injections and laser treatment procedures at Christinas Clinic in January and now shares her experiences and thoughts with us.

Since acting work means constantly covering your skin with makeup, then proper skin care is very important for me. I go to a cosmetician regularly every month, to clean and freshen my skin. Age is nothing to be ashamed of, but I think that satisfaction with yourself starts on the inside and who wouldn’t want their skin to glow with freshness or the vitality they have inside.

“Hyaluronic acid – food for the skin that improves its quality”

The first time I heard about moisturising hyaluronic acid injections was fall last year, when I first visited Christinas Clinic. I had heard a lot of positive feedback about the clinic and decided to entrust myself to the care of professionals. I consulted with the clinic’s surgeon and it turned out that a very good option for moisturising skin is hyaluronic acid injections. The first thing that came to my mind was the image of a stiff, overly injected woman, but the surgeon explained that this is just a simple procedure, during which hyaluronic acid (an important component of skin) is delivered into skin with small injections, where it improves the skin’s level of moisture and elasticity, and stimulates collagen synthesis.

These hyaluronic acid injections are like food for the skin that starts improving skin quality and fight different skin problems. The result will not be unnatural looking, because it is like a lotion or serum, which is injected instead of applied on top of skin, and thanks to that food skin takes on a more healthy appearance. Compared to using creams, the moisture just penetrates the skin much deeper.

It turned out that there are different kinds of hyaluronic acid injections, and together with the specialist, we chose the *Juvederm Volite injections for the procedure. The thing is that with my life and work, it is hard to find time to go to salons or clinics between rehearsals and performances, and the *Volite procedure promised deeply moisturised skin for as much as nine months.

During the procedure, the doctor delivered the hyaluronic acid into the skin, and in addition to losing small wrinkles and improving skin quality, it also filled out a little scar on my face. The procedure wasn’t painful at all, it just felt like a little bit of pinching and including the application of the anaesthetic lotion, the whole thing took only about half an hour. My skin did not need any recovery, it just felt a bit flushed and thanks to the follow-up recovery procedure, it was moisturised right away. That night I didn’t even need any skin covering make up for the stage – I just put makeup on my eyes and lips. I am very happy. A wonderful procedure also, for example, to make my skin glow before going to the presidential reception dedicated to the centenary of the Republic of Estonia.

“Laser treatment for veins – a brief startling moment took away unpleasant memories”

When I arrived for the procedure, the surgeon noticed that I had telangiectasia or a small number of dilated blood vessels that shone through my skin like a spider web. Doctor explained that this is a type of pathology of the blood vessels that many women grapple with and that you can’t just wipe off your face with any beauty products. As a solution, she recommended trying laser treatment. The last memory I had of blood vessel treatments was so unpleasant that I had avoided getting that treatment. At the same time, technology has developed so fast over the years, so I decided to agree to the laser procedure.

Before the procedure, they applied an anaesthetic cream to my face and the treatment itself was only a few seconds. It didn’t hurt, I just felt it for a brief startling moment, and after the procedure there was just a slight red spot about the size of the tip of my finger, which didn’t even need any covering for that evening’s performance.

Today, already very young girls are getting beauty injections, and since I have 2 daughters, I feel the responsibility and obligation to say that beauty procedures should be thoroughly considered and you should never do anything foolish to yourself.
