Breast lift is a surgical procedure to raise sagging breasts and give them an enhanced shape. It is often accompanied by breast augmentationΒ to simultaneously increase breast size.

During breast lift surgery excess skin is removed and the rest tightened. As a result the breast will rise and gain a fuller and firmer shape. There are four different techniques to consider for the surgery, depending on the degree of ptosis of the breast.

1) Benelli lift

Benelli lift involves either circular or half-moon shaped incisions around the areolas. It is a minimally invasive technique and hence suitable for small breasts or breasts with minor ptosis.

2) Vertical technique or β€žlollipopβ€œ

Vertical technique involves a circular incision around the areola and a vertical incision from the areola to the bottom of the breast, forming the shape of a lollipop. It is a slightly more invasive technique with more effective lifting results. The technique is recommended for women with moderate or larger breast ptosis.

3) Horizontal technique

Horizontal technique leaves a circular scar around the areola and a horizontal one under the breast. The technique is recommended for women with narrow breasts, when effective results cannot be achieved with the vertical technique.

4) Anchor technique

This technique involves a circular incision around the areola, a vertical incision from the areola to the bottom of the breast and finally a horizontal incision under the breast. It is the most invasive technique and is used when the breasts have major sagging.

The most suitable technique will be decided during the consultation.
